Leica M9 camera survives fall from balcony, breaks pool’s granite tile

In case you missed it, here is a story I posted on Facebook last week: a Chinese photographer dropped his Leica M9 camera from the balcony and… broke the pool’s granite tile below. The camera’s focusing and metering systems were working fine after the drop, but he will probably need a new lens hood:

The Voigtlander Nokton 50mm f/1.1 VM lens for Leica M mount is now $100 off (the new price is $899). Recently several Voigtlander VM lenses got a price drop in the US (the 50mm f/1.1 Nokton was not part of the initial discount).
