Firmware update version 2.1 for Leica SL rumored to be released next week

In addition to the upcoming Leica Q firmware update, Leica will also release a new firmware update version 2.1 for the SL mirrorless camera. The main changes are: tethered shooting and improved AF-C focusing plus several bug fixes. The firmware is expected to be released on Friday, July 29th.

Leica R-adapter L for the SL Typ 601 starts shipping

The Leica R-adapter L for the SL Typ 601 (for using R lenses on the SL) started shipping in the US (the price is $750).  The adapter is compatible with R lenses produced after 1976. Here is the full list of supported lenses:
