The special extras of the Explorer Kit, such as the automatic lens cap – which allows photographers to power the camera on, shoot pictures, and then power off without the need to remove the cap – will differentiate this set from all others. Perfect for spontaneous snapshots with its zoom lens, the shutters of the lens cap open automatically as soon as the lens is extended and the camera is ready to shoot. The set also includes an exclusive red carrying strap made from the finest quality cotton. Just in time for the season, the Leica D-Lux Explorer Kit comes in attractive packaging with a winter theme.

The Leica D-Lux camera in the Explorer Kit is identical to the standard model in every way and shines with the same extensive range of features, versatile functions and intuitive handling. Alongside its fast zoom lens, its outstanding features include a high-resolution electronic viewfinder for perfect composition of subjects, 4K video recording and an integrated Wi-Fi module for remote control of the camera from a smartphone or tablet with wireless transmission of pictures or video.

The Leica Image Shuttle app required for this function can be downloaded free of charge and installed on iOS and Android devices. Classically elegant and timelessly beautiful design with particular attention to simple and intuitive handling rounds out the final, refined touches of the camera and kit.
