These firmwares only fix the bug that causes the camera to freeze up when the Leica APO-Macro-Elmarit-TL 60mm f/2.8 Asph. lens is mounted.

Peter, what you have listed under “Performance Improvements” (Firmware update 1.6.1 for Leica T) pertains to the former 1.6 version.

The lens has still a mistake, in the Macro 1: 1 it is only a 60 / 4.0 lens – Leica and the T-system terrible, but it looks good 🙂

    • Mistral75

That’s not a mistake. All macro lenses have a lower max. aperture at 1:1 compared to infinity. Some brands choose to report that (Nikon and, apparently, Leica), others choose not to.

That’s exactly what I was about to write!

It is true, but not good for consumers – but it goes … Zeiss Touit 50 / 2.8 or Leica R 60/100 or S-120mm + Fuji 60 / 2.4 … Leica is nevertheless the premium optical manufacturer .. .for the money: I expect honest and good work

        • Mistral75

Whether good for consumers or not, it’s a law of physics: max. aperture decreases when the flange focal distance increases (to focus closer). Even such premium optical manufacturers as Fuji, Leica or Zeiss have to abide by it.

sorry, I forgot the “new” law of physics, lol
