I started already receiving the first rumors about the next upcoming Leica camera that will be announced around June 14th as already confirmed by Dr. Kaufmann. Here is what we know so far:

  • Leica will announce a new mirrorless full frame camera which will be a link between the CL and the SL models
  • I expect the new model to be called Leica C-M (or Leica CM?)
  • The new full frame camera will be based on a new sensor with outstanding low light high dynamic range capabilities
  • The official announcement will be made next month (on or around June 14th)
  • Leica will also update their lens roadmap with the introduction of 5 new mirrorless lenses that will be released over the next 18-24 months

If you have any additional information on the upcoming camera, you can contact me anonymously here.
