Chief Financial Officer is leaving Leica Camera AG

Leica Camera AG, an internationally photographic technology company and manufacturer of premium cameras and lenses, would like to announce the following change in the company’s management-level staff. Ronald Marcel Peters, board member responsible for Finance, Controlling, Human Resources, IT, Legal and Compliance and Facility Management since 2012 will be leaving the company at his own request on 15 July 2019 to address new challenges in the Netherlands. Mr. Peters has held the position of Company CFO since 2012.

Dr. Andreas Kaufmann, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Leica Camera AG, thanked Mr. Peters for his many years of work for the company. ‘Mr. Peters successfully accompanied the company through important phases of the process of change, especially in the new positioning of what was exclusively a camera manufacturer as a technological concern. We would like to express our particular thanks to him for his enormous dedication and commitment throughout all these years and wish him all the best for the future.’

The company is searching intensively for a successor and has now completed the interviews with potential candidates. For the time being, Matthias Harsch, CEO of Leica Camera AG, will be temporarily taking on the areas for which Mr. Peters held responsibility on the board. From 15 July, he will be assisted in this by Dr. Thomas Riegler, who will be immediately available to fulfill the role of interim manager.
