New Leica camera registered under code 9418 (Leica M10-R?)

There is a new Leica camera registered under the code 9418 with the Bluetooth certification agency:


I think there is some confusion since the Leica M10-R was registered under the code 6376 which is for the M10 Monochrom with the FCC – see the 6376 manual here (click for larger view):





There are a few possibilities here:

  • Leica submitted the wrong pictures to the FCC for 6376 (M10-R instead of M10 Monochrom)
  • Leica model 9418 is the actual Leica M10-R
  • Maybe there will be two different models: M10-R and M10-X
  • The pictured Leica M10-R is actually a prototype of the new M10 Monochrom
  • Leica uses a dummy M10-R (R for rumors?) to confuse the rumor mill

What do you think? My personal opinion is that 6376 is the new M10 Monochrom and 9418 is the upcoming M10-R.
