Leica M6 Sultan of Brunei limited edition camera set listed for sale by Leica Store Lisse

“To celebrate the 25th Anniversary of accession to the throne of Sultan of Brunei on 1st October 1992, the royal family ordered 350 sets of gold plated Leica M6 Sambutan Jubli Perak. The national totem of Sultan engraved on the top plate and “Sambutan Jubli Perak” engraved at the back. The camera is decorated with black leather embossed ornamentation.

The camera comes with Summilux-M 1.4/50mm lens in gold, engraved “Sambutan Jubli Perak 5 Oct 92″. The commemorative number is HB-250. This set comes with packing, wooden box, hood and hood cap, body cap, lens rear cap, cleansing cloth, strap.”

The top plate of this LEICA M6 Sultan of Brunei Silver Jubilee Edition has two royal emblems engraved. One is the royal Official crest while the other the was written in Jawi and arranged in a pattern. The serial numbering has two codes, one is Leica production serial, and the other, marked “HB-1x” is the specific unit produced. The “HB” probably signifies “His Majesty Brunei”.
