Omnar is a new M-mount rangefinder lens manufacturer based on a collaboration between Skyllaney and 35mmc. Here are some details on their upcoming lenses:
- The first lenses are going to be rehousings – they will be releasing these in batches, they will range from very characterful lenses to very well-regarded optics.
- Omar plans to make also their own optics. They already have a formula for a brand new lens fully designed by them.
- The lens housings are going to be made in the UK out of very high-quality materials – mostly brass.
- Omnar is working on tolerances as fine as 5 microns to ensure absolute quality.
- The new lenses will be hand-painted and will come in a variety of finishes.
- The Omnar lenses are going to be hand-assembled in Scotland.
