Leica Camera AG executives changes


Leica Camera AG announced several executive personnel changes:

STEFAN DANIEL APPOINTED AS EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT TECHNOLOGY AND OPERATIONS AT LEICA CAMERA AG

At its meeting on 3 September 2021, the Supervisory Board of Leica Camera AG, Wetzlar made the decision to appoint Stefan Daniel in the function of Executive Vice President Technology and Operations. This new function combines the entire spectrum of activities in the Photography and Sport Optics product segments of Leica Camera AG. It encompasses the areas Product Management Photo and Sport Optics, Research and Development, Quality Management, Procurement and Supply Chain, the production sites in Germany and Portugal and Customer Care.

Stefan Daniel began his professional career with an apprenticeship as a precision engineer at Ernst Leitz Wetzlar GmbH. Following various assignments in Leica Customer Care in Germany and abroad, he moved to Product Management, where he played a leading role at management level in the establishment of a very successful product portfolio.

I am very much looking forward to dedicating all my abilities to the benefit of the company in my newly expanded range of responsibilities’, says Stefan Daniel, who will be assuming his new function as Executive Vice President Technology and Operations from October 2021.

ANTONIO ARRIGONI APPOINTED AS NEW CFO AT LEICA CAMERA AG

At its meeting on 3 September 2021, the Supervisory Board of Leica Camera AG made the decision to appoint Antonio Arrigoni to the position of new Chief Financial Officer of Leica Camera AG and CFO of the Leica Camera Group. Antonio Arrigoni will be assuming his new functions from October 2021.

Antonio Arrigoni is a certified accountant and most recently held the position of CFO at the Rodenstock Group in Munich. He possesses many years of experience in management functions at listed companies in Europe and abroad. ‘Leica Camera AG is a company with a long tradition, manufactures first-class innovative products and I am very much looking forward to playing an active role in the further development of the company in my function as CFO’, reports Antonio Arrigoni.

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER (COO) DR MARITA PAASCH IS LEAVING LEICA CAMERA AG

After many successful years in our company, Dr Marita Paasch, member of the Executive Board and COO of Leica Camera AG, will be leaving her position on the Executive Board by most cordial mutual agreement on 30 September 2021 in order to pursue a different professional career. Amongst other successes, she made a decisive contribution to the company’s success through extremely effective optimisation of costs, production and business processes and the reinforcement of the innovative powers of the company by expansion of digitalisation competencies. It is with particular regret that the Executive Board, the shareholders and the Supervisory Board of Leica AG accept Paasch’s decision to leave the company. We thank Dr Paasch for her outstanding services to the company and wish her continuing success in her future career and all the best for the future.
