Leica M-A “100 years of Leica” special auction

Leica is rumored to announce a new M-A titanium limited edition film camera with a matching APO-Summicron-M 50mm f/2 ASPH lens. Only 250 pieces will be produced for worldwide distribution (probably all sold out already). The price will be around 20,000 euros/dollars. The official announcement is expected very soon – it could be as early as this week.

For comparison, the regular Leica M-A camera model is priced at $5,595, and the APO-Summicron-M 50mm f/2 ASPH lens is $9,095 – the titanium premium for the new limited edition will be around $5,000.
