- The highest dynamic range of any Leica camera to date: 15 stops

New Leica Summilux-M 50 f/1.4 ASPH lens:
- 11 aperture blades (vs. 9 blades for the previous version)
- Minimum focusing distance: 45cm (vs. 70cm for the previous version)
- Updated optical performance for high-resolution M cameras (as previously reported)
- Price: $4,500 for black and $4,800 for silver/chrome (same as the previous version!)
- New built-in lens hood
- Same size as before
- The sensitivity of the focusing ring has not been changed
- Similar design to the new Leica Summilux-M 35mm f/1.4 ASPH lens
- Handmade in Germany
The official announcement should be on or around April 13-14 depending on your timezone. I still have no confirmation on the announcement date of the Leica Q3 camera and Leica Super-APO-Summicron-SL 21mm f/2 ASPH lens. Stay tuned!
