Check out the new Leica Q3 accessories:
From a reader (thanks Ala’a): a couple of days ago I picked up my Leica Q3 from the official Dubai Store, and today was my first day of testing the camera and its new features. As usual, when I receive new cameras, I like to test the low light capability, basically bringing to life underexposed images, and here is my first attempt, which was shot at: ISO 50, f/1.7 and 1/30 second (the photo was captured hand-held):
And the same image after enhancing the exposure by a factor of +5.00 using Adobe Lightroom Classic:
The first Leica Q3 camera reviews are out:
“When I say new, I don’t mean just a new number. While it looks the same, it is nearly a complete redesign retaining the familiar form factor and absolutely stellar 28mm F1.7 Leica Summilux. To sum up the Leica Q3 in a word, I would have to say wow — just wow.” (West 42)
“Leica clearly has a good thing going on here. The minimalistic approach to the controls and the simple design work well. The camera is beautiful, the craftsmanship is precise, and the materials are premium. It truly is a joy to use and carry with me daily. I will have to return it eventually, but I still have 10 more days to fully put it through its paces. With the way the photographs are coming out, I am very excited for what images I am about to get.” (Fstoppers)
“The best compact camera in the world just got better – much better.” (Amateurphotographer)
“The new Leica Q3 is proving to be on track to go down as the greatest Leica camera ever. Sure, we’re positive it won’t have the durability and staying power that many of the company’s analog cameras have. But in the hands of the right photographers, this camera could be incredibly capable and a fine package for anyone looking for a compact, fixed-lens camera. The market is seriously lacking in that department because brands are going after the average consumer with them.” (Thephoblographer)
“The Leica Q3 is the latest iteration of Leica’s rangefinder-style, fixed-prime, weather-sealed full-frame camera. It shares its general outline and the same stabilized 28mm F1.7 lens with macro mode as its forebears, but adopts a new 60MP BSI-CMOS sensor and a tilting rear panel, while other improvements include the autofocus and the ability to shoot 8K/30p video. For Q-series fans, it’s an incremental improvement over the Q2, which itself was already a very robust and fun camera to use.” (Dpreview)
“The full-frame, fixed-lens compact camera gets higher resolution, a new autofocus system, and wireless charging via an optional handgrip. But its flip-out screen may make you flip out.” (The Verge)
“The Q3 follows the same ethos as earlier editions: a carry-anywhere camera with a full-frame sensor and a fixed, bright, and wide-angle lens. It has much of the appeal of an M series rangefinder, just with the bonus of accurate autofocus. Middling battery life aside, the 60MP Q3 is a near-ideal travel companion for photogs who enjoy street, documentary slice-of-life, and even macro photography. IP52 weather protection makes it a good fit for nature and outdoor snaps, while the tilting display and upgraded EVF improve the handling substantially. We’re less enthusiastic about its video capabilities due to rolling shutter issues and a mediocre mic, however, and would have gladly traded 8K recording capabilities for some internal storage.” (PCmag)
“The Leica Q3 has surpassed my expectations for a fixed lens compact camera. Its 60MP sensor produces breathtaking images, enhanced further by the digital crop feature that adds a fun element of experimentation to the 28mm fixed lens. Each shot exhibits remarkable Leica processing, with beautifully rendered colors as well as exceptional dynamic range. The autofocus performs admirably, delivering swift and precise results, particularly in subject focusing, thanks to its efficient human and eye detection capabilities.” (Digitalcameraworld)

As some of the reviews have already mentioned, the Leica Q3 has a flash sync leaf shutter speed of up to 1/2000 second (apparently previous Q version had the same leaf shutter, but Leica did not officially report that):
