The Leica Q2 camera is slowly being phased out, is the new Leica Q-E coming soon?

The Leica Q2 camera is slowly being phased out – many stores have already removed the product listings, and others are out of stock or selling their last pieces. Even the official Leica Camera USA online store doesn’t have the Q2 in stock.

If the rumors are true, we should be getting closer to the announcement of the Leica Q-E camera. Leica is rumored to reintroduce the “-E” branding for entry-level cameras. The new Leica Q-E will basically be the current Q2 with some minor modifications (similar to the Leica M9 and Leica M-E).

Update: the Leica Q-E is rumored to be produced in Portugal in order to keep the price low similar to some M and SL lenses.
