German bag manufacturer Oberwerth has introduced the LEO 2.0 Small and LEO 2.0 Medium, a new iteration of the original Leo Bags that were developed in cooperation with the Leica Society International (LSI), formerly known as LHSA.
The original Leo series was created specifically for Leica photographers, with a layout tailored to M-system shooting and later adapted to Q and SL bodies. The new LEO 2.0 models continue that concept while introducing an innovative, redesigned upper access system. Instead of the zipper construction used in the first generation, the LEO 2.0 features a newly engineered magnetic quick-access flap. While not in use, the flap can be closed with a tailor-made security buckle. The design allows convenient and faster camera retrieval while maintaining structural stability – a refinement likely to appeal to street and documentary photographers who value discreet operation.
Both versions offer a fully configurable interior with adjustable padded dividers and a removable depth insert, allowing flexible setups for Leica M, Q, and SL systems. The Medium variant additionally includes a repositionable SD-card panel that holds up to three memory cards.
Other features include a red interior lining for visibility, an integrated hidden AirTag® compartment, a wide padded shoulder strap, and Oberwerth’s full-grain Casual leather construction. The bags are backed by a lifetime warranty.
The 2026 LEO 2.0 LSI edition is limited to 25 pieces worldwide for 2026.
