Leica is rumored to be announcing a new 35mm f/2.8 lens priced around 2,000 euros.

Leica used to have a Summaron 35mm f/2.8 lens (1958-1974): see eBay listings.

Several other manufacturers currently offer 35mm f/2.8 lenses for M-mount:


Stay tuned for updates – I do not have the release date yet, but the lens is expected in the next few months.
