No Leica Q3 Monochrom for now

I asked around, and nobody has heard anything about a new Leica Q3 Monochrom camera. This could be the reason why Leica announced the Q3 43. One potential explanation I was given for the lack of Q3M is that phase detect AF in the Q3 and SL3 sensors need color pixels in order to work. There is no solution for that unless they use a completely different sensor, which could be significantly more expensive. If the rumors are true, the current Leica Q2 Monochrom will be sold for a while before a replacement is announced.
