Leica M9 and M9-P delayed because of slow recovery of some Japanese factories after the earthquake

Leica M9->M9-P upgrade program now official in the US

The previously rumored Leica M9 to M9-P upgrade program is now official. Two options will be available: “Sapphire Glass” upgrade package for $1,295 and “Top Cover and Sapphire Glass” upgrade package for $1,995. Both packages come with a one-year warranty extension. Leica M9->M9-P upgrade program coming to the US

I am not sure about other countries, but a new Leica M9 to M9-P upgrade program will be launched for the US in the next few weeks. I don’t know if the upgrade program will include also changing the vulcanite leatherette of the M9. Stay tuned for the details.
