Lee RF75 Rangefinder Holder System

RF75 Rangfinder Filter HolderThe RF75 Filter System has been designed to offer a high quality precision filter holder that is compact, lightweight and will fit to lenses with a diameter of 67mm or less.

The holder is primarily offered to users of rangefinder and high end digital compact cameras, but will equally be of use for large and medium format users who require a smaller, more compact filter system.

The RF75 System includes a full range of filters sized 75mm x 90mm. These filters are hand made to the same exacting quality standards of colour and optical flatness found in the renowned LEE 100mm System. In keeping with the smaller size, the filter graduation zones have been adjusted to suit the smaller system. These changes have been made through extensive testing and in conjunction with top landscape photographers.

When ordering any filters for the RF75 System it is recommended that you prefix the filter name with ‘RF75′ to ensure you receive the correct size filters i.e. RF75 0.6 Neutral Density Hard Graduated Filter.

The RF75 System is equally at home on film and digital cameras and is available as individual components or as sets including both filters and hardware.

Capture One 4.6 released

If you own a newer model Leica, it is time to upgrade your Capture One software to version 4.6 (my D-Lux 4 came with version 4.1). I did not have any problems with the license key during the upgrade.

Here is the link for the download, released notes and user guide.

There was already talk about the Leica M8 Panda a while ago. A reader just sent me this email about a new limited edition M8 (email dated Dec 11, 2008):

Re: Limited Production  M8, special black paint with silver chrome elements
____________________________________________________________________________
Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

Leica Camera AG will produce a limited production run of 100 pieces of the LEICA M8, special black paint
finish with silver chrome control elements. The special black paint M8 will have a silver chrome preview
lever, speed dial, hot shoe and shutter release.

The contrast between the special black paint body and silver chrome elements makes these unique
pieces a true Leica collector’s item. As the US will only be getting a limited number of pieces, we suggest
you reach out to your customers who are Leica fans. The mail-in rebate for the M8 is applicable to these
limited quantity production cameras.

Dealers who place an order for these limited quantity pieces will be listed on the website in the News
Section. If you have any questions or suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Thank you.

I am little bit confused because this model seems to be already available on ebay:

Why would Leica produce a limited M8 and not M8.2?
