FieldMade announced new indicator labels for Leica cameras and lenses:

They have been selling labels for other brands for years, and it is nice to see that they have finally included Leica as well.

Field Made also informed me that orders to the US are duty-free and tariff-free. That means the price you see at checkout is the final price you pay. The Field Made indicator labels are manufactured in Canada and fall under the USMCA trade agreement, allowing them to cross the border without restrictions.

Leica M EV1 camera updates: 45g lighter, customizable FN button (frame selection lever)

Here are three new updates on the upcoming Leica M EV1 camera:

The new M EV1 will be 45g lighter compared to the M11
The new FN button (frame selection lever) will have dual functionality for the electronic viewfinder: peaking on/off or zoom on/off (assignable in the menu, I assume)
The M EV1 will use the same M11 BP-SCL7 battery (the M EV1 is based on the M11 electronics)

What’s next for Leica? (updated)

The previously reported first Leica event in October was “Celebration of Photography” for the 45th Leica Oskar Barnack Award at the Wetzlar headquarters. The only new product announced at this event was the Leica M11 Monochrom limited edition marble camera sculpture:

New: eight tons Leica M11 Monochrom camera marble sculpture in Leica World + a limited edition of ten smaller sculptures
