The Exposure Donut concept (EXPODO)




A reader sent me his idea and mock-up images specific to Leica cameras for an Exposure Donut concept (EXPODO):

Fundamentally, exposure control is simply a trade-off between image brightness and three types of blur. Light and the three essential camera controls all contribute to the brightness of your image. The exposure donut visualises all four of these as colored arcs. Their combined length represents the brightness of your image. When they add up to a complete circle (the donut) your image has a ‘normal’ brightness, or what most cameras call EV 0.
