A “chargrilled” fire-damaged Leica M4 camera with a Summicron 50mm lens sold for £1,200 ($1,670) at a recent auction in the UK (the final price with fees was £1,488 0r $2,070). The camera belonged to photographer Jonathan Bloom and got damaged in a house fire:
