Today Leica Camera released two new Leica SL2 lens bundles in the US:
Both bundles are priced at $10,795 – you get a savings of $1095 for the 50mm kit ($5,995 + $5,895 = $11,890) and $695 for the 24-90 kit ($5,995 + 5,495 = $11,490).
The new Leica SL2 bundles should also be soon available at PopFlash, Leica Miami, Tamarkin, and Classic Connection.
The new Leica Summicron M 28mm f/2 ASPH Safari edition lens that was announced back in February is now shipping (limited to 500 units worldwide) and Leica Store Lisse got the first lens already:

On April 1st, I posted a joke about Leica rumored to announce a new medium format film camera with a fixed lens. While this was obviously an April fool’s joke, it turns out that Leica’s upper management did in fact once consider making a medium-format film camera system (not with a fixed lens). In May 2000 Leica’s CEO at that time Hanns-Peter Cohn (CEO from 1999 to 2005) announced that Leica was considering the development of exactly such a camera!
