Firmware update version 1.6 for the Leica T (Typ 701) mirrorless camera is expected to be announced soon (see picture above). I am not sure what improvements will be introduced. If anyone has any details, you can contact me here. Firmware version 1.55 for Leica T was released in September.

The new firmware update version 1.55 for the Leica T (Typ 701) camera I reported last week is now officially available for download on Leica’s website. The only addition in this release is the full compatibility with the new APO-Macro-Elmarit-TL 60mm/f2.8 ASPH lens.
In the next few days Leica Camera is rumored to announce a new firmware update version 1.55 for the Leica T (Typ 701) mirrorless camera that will contain full compatibility and AF performance improvements for the Leica APO Macro Elmarit TL 60mm f/2.8 ASPH lens.
The previously rumored firmware update version 2.1 for the Leica SL camera is now officially announced. In addition to the upcoming Leica Q firmware update, Leica will also release a new firmware update version 2.1 for the SL mirrorless camera. The main changes are: tethered shooting and improved AF-C focusing plus several bug fixes. The firmware is expected to be released on Friday, July 29th.
