You can buy a Windows laptop with a SD card slot, or slightly cheaper a USB cardreader for the iMac.

    • Just use the cable that came with the camera to transfer the file.

it is because in mac os 1mb equal to 1000 kb while 1mb equal to 1024kb in windows. am i right?

I’m getting a 16.3 MB bin file size as well — it says it should be 15.874 KB. Downloaded file again (as per installation instruction pdf) and get the same .bin file size.

I am using a macbook pro to download the firmware update for the dlux5 and am unable to un-archive the zip file. The open command or double click both result in another file with the zip file icon. When I try to open them I get another zip file icon. This does not extract any files that I can open and use. Any ideas on how to get around this?
