Leica Akademie updates

2013_Leica_Akademie

The Leica Akademie in North America was launched on May 2nd 2011 and has since grown into a full line-up of one day, weekend and destinations photography trips.

Now that it’s entering into its third year of offering programs, they have expanded to include Conservation photography workshops lead by photographer Bridget Besaw in Bar Harbor, Maine and Patagonia. Personal vision programs with Quinton Gordon and now four Street Photography Weekends in Vancouver, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C. and New York, featuring local photographers in each city. These new programs are aimed at intermediate and advanced photographers who want to go beyond just the technical practice of photography and explore projects and themes in their work.

The Leica Akademie is continuing to offer its one day workshops for M9/M-E owners, compact cameras and the Monochrom. I’ve been told they plan to add shooting programs for the new M 240 in the fall as well as destination trips to Morocco, Yosemiite, Kentucky, Big Sur and Germany in 2014.
