Update: the three lenses are now officially announced.

Rumors are floating online that Leica will announce three new lenses tomorrow:

  • Elmarit 28 ASPH
  • Summicron 28 ASPH
  • Summicron 35 ASPH

The main upgrade to the lenses will be a new metal lens hood.

The new Summicron 35 ASPH version will probably look similar to the the black chrome finish limited edition versions and the silver Safari edition lens.

I have already reported about the upcoming Leica Summicron-M 28mm f/2 ASPH lens several times in the past. The new 35mm Summicron appeared in a press photo back in 2014.
