Dream, for one moment, this was for a new medium format rangefinder. Ahhhhhh.

the noctilux are too big on an m for my taste but looking forward to seeing the reviews. i never use the 75mm focal length but im guessing portraiture people will dig it.

    • My only issue with this lens is that it will be difficult to manually focus… and the price 🙂

You can always use it with EVF or directly on the SL.

I think probably better on the SL

the 1.4 is not so bad and it’s really not far off. But the price. Yeah that is gonna be a real issue.

      • eric

        yeah, agree. probably over 10k

        I’ll be Brokeh for sure.

It too is already affected by the price increase. It just went up another $300. LOL

That’s way too much DOF so the lens sucks–I want razor thin, one-hair DOF, so my photos can be “unique-er” and my bokeh “extra-bokeh-ier”. Because everyone knows that the mark of a great “capture” is “awesome bokeh”, not light, composition and subject matter.

I think that the word you’re looking for is Bokehliciousness

does anyone know why there is not a silver version of the newest 50mm summilux asph fle lens? i can only find black and black chrome. i thought most of leicas lenses were offered in both silver and black.

  • Gary Craggs

Announcing it is one thing, delivery is another. I’m still awaiting the Summicron-SL 75mm that was announced a year ago yet is nowhere to be seen.
