New Leica medium format mirrorless camera confirmed again

LovelightTV posted a video of their visit to Leitz Park. At the 12:10 minute mark of the video, the Leica representative confirmed the already rumored Leica S mirrorless medium format mirrorless camera:

  • Mirrorless medium format
  • To be announced within 2 years
  • New mount and a new range of lenses
  • New adapters to mount the entire range of Leica lenses.

Confirmed: Leica is working on a new “hybrid” mirrorless large format sensor camera

What’s next for Leica?

Here is the video and the translation:

“The medium format, which has been discontinued but will have a successor within two years, (the guy: it is a scoop). So, it will be a hybrid medium format with a new mount and a new range of optics, for which adapters can be used to mount SL lenses, M lenses, and the entire range of Leica lenses.”
