The previously rumored Leica M11 camera and Noctilux 50mm f/1.2 ASPH lens in black glossy paint will be officially announced tomorrow (November 21st). Both releases will be limited editions. It is interesting to note that Leica did not choose the M11-P as a base for the new black paint version. Rumors suggest that this could be due to shortages/issues with the new CAI chip inside the M11-P.
The Leica M11 design variant is the most elegant member of the current M family. The exclusive design variant perfectly embodies iconic Leica design with its glossy black paint finish. Frequent use creates a unique patina, which emphasises the camera’s individuality. The perfect pair – the Leica Noctilux-M 50 f/1.2 ASPH. is also available with a glossy black paint finish to match the Leica M11 design variant.
