Leica M2Pi launch: updated MPi digital-film camera (Leica M2 with a Raspberry Pi), source released, Kickstarter launched


There are several updates to the Leica MPi (previously reported here), a Leica M2 with a Raspberry Pi-powered digital back. The most notable upgrade is a larger sensor capable of capturing daylight photos in color. Other upgrades include an internal battery and support for external accessories like a flash. The hardware and software are now open source, and there is also a new Kickstarter project:
