Here is an updated list of rumors about the Leica M12 camera:
- The Leica M12 will use the same 60MP sensor and processor/engine as the M11, not the Chinese-made Gpixel sensor reported earlier
- Better dynamic range and different color rendering (M9 CCD sensor simulation?)
- No IBIS
- New settings menu
- No base plate
- The camera is reportedly already in production
- The official announcement is rumored for early 2027 (maybe even in December?)
- The Leica M12 will have a larger rear screen
- The buttons will be on the right side instead of the left, similar to the Leica SL3-P and Leica Q3 – the layout may look like this:
