Leica D-Lux 4 firmware update: late October

This is coming from Leica UK: “We understand Panasonic has withdrawn this update due to some bugs and will start again on October 20th. Leica will then issue an update later in October. Do not use the Panasonic firmware in the Leica camera.” Source

Update on the previous D-Lux 4 post: Leica informed me that the D-Lux 4 model is not discontinued and the reported back-order situation is caused by high demand. New shipment is expected any moment (right now Amazon has the DL4 in stock through a third party).
