Silver Leica APO Summicron M 50mm f/2.0 ASPH lens to be announced soon

On July 19th Leica is rumored to announce a new, silver Leica APO Summicron M 50mm f/2.0 ASPH lens. I am not sure if the price will be higher than the current black version (currently priced at $7,795 in the US). Stay tuned for additional information. Update: the price in Europe will be €7,325.

HandeVision IBERIT 24mm f/2.4 lens for Leica M mount to be announced at Photokina

I received a tip that the HandeVision IBERIT 24mm f/2.4 lens for Leica M mount will be announced at Photokina. The picture above is a prototype of the new lens with a special surface finish in silver matt that was recently spotted in Germany by a reader.
