New: Leica multifunction protector + built-in grip + Arca-Swiss plate
With the Q3 43 camera, Leica also announced a new Leica Multifunctional Protector for Q3 cameras, which is a dedicated half case that also adds a hand grip and Arca-type plate for tripod mounting. Primarily made from black leather, the case also retains direct access to the battery compartment for easy swapping without needing to remove the case.
The Leica Q3 43 uses the BP-SCL6 battery (2200mAh) but is also backward compatible with the old 1860mAh version (it will have reduced battery life and will limit video to 4K).
The new Leica Q3 43 is also compatible with all existing Q3 accessories:
