There is a new Leica Q2/Q2 Monochrom firmware update version 5.0 with new eye AF tracking and other improvements currently listed on the Leica China website (still not available in other countries).

Third-party watch straps for the Leica L1/L2

First, I want to mention that Leica Store LA now sells separately Ernst Leitz Werkstatten alligator straps ($350) for the Leica L1/L1 watch – they are much better quality than the original strap that comes with the watch:

Here is a close-up of both straps side by side (alligator strap on the left, original strap on the right):

The next option is the Hirsch Tiger Calf Leather Watch Strap – I got the 22mm version, it is a bit tight, but it works:

Next is the cheapest solution I tried – the rubber Barton watch straps (21mm) are priced at $22 and they are excellent – available in different colors and very comfortable. I even found a black/red combo – similar to the original Leiac L1/L2 watch strap:
