Astrodesign and Samyang join the L-mount alliance

Astrodesign and Samyang have joined the L-mount alliance. This brings the total number of members in the alliance to seven: Leica, Sigma, Panasonic, Ernst Leitz Wetzlar, DJI, Astrodesign, and Samyang.

Just announced: new IDS Works modular grips for Leica M9 and Leica M Typ 240 cameras

IDS Works introduced new modular grips in different configurations for the Leica M9 and Leica M Typ 240 cameras (international shipping available):

IDS modular grip for Leica M9:

Designed to be ultimately light weight and blend in to the original design for the Leica M9 series (M9, M9-P, M Monochrom). This is designed to protect the bottom of the camera without sacrificing the overall look of the camera. Intergrated ARCA 38mm stangard dovetail rail allowing quick loading on competable ARCA style tripod. Internal backup memory card storage are provide. Patent cut out design ensure comfortable touch and and semlessly intergrating with M9’s original base plate allowing quicker access to battery compartment even when you are using a grip.

IDS modular grip for Leica M Typ 240:

Designed to be ultimately light weight and blend in to the original design for the Leica M240 series (M240 / M240-P / M262 etc). This is designed to replace the original camera bottom plate of the camera without sacrificing the overall look of the camera. Intergrated ARCA 38mm stangard dovetail rail allowing quick loading on competable ARCA style tripod. Internal backup memory card storage are provide. As an replacement of the original camera bottom plate it also provide a quick access door to access battery / SD card compartment.
