JMGO begins direct sales of the O1 Pro, co-engineered with Leica

Following on from last year’s announcement of their strategic partnership, Leica Camera AG and JMGO have presented their first joint product – the JMGO O1 Pro, co-engineered with Leica. Now, the ultra-short throw smart LED projector is also available from the JMGO website at https://smart.jmgo.com.

New Leica Q2 limited edition camera announced in Japan

The Leica Daimaru store in Tokyo released a new Leica Q2 special limited edition model “Leica Q2 Cowhide Leather Raspberry” to commemorate its 10th anniversary. Only 10 cameras will be produced. The raspberry color is reminiscent of the red bricks of the Tokyo station building. The price is 770,000 yen including tax. Additional information is available here.

Custom Leica Visoflex (Typ 020) mod with an additional flash sync plug

A reader sent a few pictures of his custom Leica Visoflex (Typ 020) mod with an additional flash sync plug that allows you to use studio flash at the same time with the EVF. If there is enough interest maybe Leica or a third-party manufacturer can create such an adapter and make it available for sale. This specific prototype was built by a Swedish Leica fan. The mod is actually just a sync plug connected to the ground of the housing and with an additional pin drilled (right picture see white pointer) to the X-contact. What do you guys think?
