Leica is rumored to announce a new C-LUX compact camera according to the Japanese website Nokishita. The new model will be available in two colors: midnight blue and light gold.
This is an interesting development since I did not expect Leica to bring back to life the already discontinued C-LUX compact cameras. It is not clear which Panasonic compact camera will be used for the new C-Lux – my guess is the new Panasonic Lumix DC-ZS200 model that was announced 4 months ago (pictured above).
Leica Camera officially announced the previously rumored Leica SF 60 flash unit and Leica SF C1 remote control unit that are compatible with the Leica S, Leica SL, Leica M systems and also with the Leica Q and Leica CL cameras. Shipping will start later this month. The SF 60 flash will retail for $595 and the SF C1 remote control will retail for $350 in the US. The last Leica M3 camera ever produced is currently listed for sale on eBay for $595,000. The camera is in “like new condition“, and it “was never used and kept in its original box since 1966“.
