Several stores, including the Leica store in Rome (see pictures above), received a very limited stock of the new Leica M camera. As of today, no delivery was made in the US. Amazon currently shows one black M camera in stock from a third party reseller, but this could be a mistake. B&H has removed the estimated delivery date of April 30 from their website.

In an email to a customer, Leica Camera confirmed that they are working on a new firmware update for the M8 digital rangefinder that will support the new Leica APO-Summicron-M 50mm f/2.0 ASPH lens (currently shipping in the US for $7,195.00).
I received some information that the Leica M release date has been delayed. B&H also recently changed the expected availability date to April 30, 2013 (previously, the shipping date was February 28).
