New X2 limited edition from Leica: instead of the the traditional leather band, the Paper Skin Fedrigoni camera has special paper called “Constellation Jade” (watch the embedded video for more details). Only 25 pieces will be produced. The price is not yet announced.

The limited edition Leica Monochrom “Ralph Gibson“ camera is (was) priced at 21,000 Euros (around $28,000). A total of 35 units were produced and my understanding is that they all sold out very quickly, just like any other Leica special edition model.

Almost a year after it started shipping, the black and silver versions of the Leica M type 240 cameras are both currently in stock at B&H and Leica Store Miami.
Several readers informed me that the Leica R-Adapter M (14642) is now shipping in Germany. While the similar Novoflex LEM/LER adaptor (also 6-bit coded) has been available for a while, the Leica version just started shipping now after some rumored problems with one of Leica’s suppliers. My guess is that the first units will reach the US next week.
