Apple’s Aperture 3 released, now with Leica D-Lux 4 support

Today Apple released Aperture 3 with RAW support for Leica D-Lux 4. Leica M9 is not on the list of supported cameras.

Amazon is now taking Aperture 3 pre-orders.

New Leica Lens Compendium book and a free Leica pocket guide

Erwin Puts announced on his website that there will be a new version of the Leica Lens Compendium book which should be available shortly (this explains why the old version goes for over $1000on on eBay and on Amazon).

Leica S2 and Summarit-S 70mm now in stock @ Leica SIS

In B&H the Leica S2 and the Summarit-S 70mm f/2.5 ASPH lens are listed as “Temporarily unavailable”. If you are interested, the Leica SIS in Palm Beach has both items in stock:

If you buy from the Leica SIS, you can apply 10% of the purchase price toward a workshop at the Palm Beach Photographic Centre (that’s a lot of classes). Update: I was just told that the 10% deal is not valid for Leica equipment.

At the same time the Leica X1 is nowhere to be found in the US but it should be coming to retailers very soon.
