DJ-Optical launched a 50mm f/1.0 lens for Leica M mount

On September 9, 2025, DJ-Optical launched a 50mm f/1.0 lens for Leica M mount, limited to 300 silver units, featuring a compact size and a large aperture, 62mm filter design, allowing for simultaneous attachment of filters and a lens hood. It has 11-blade diaphragm and the design consists of 10 elements in five groups, all crafted from high-refractive-index optical materials. The coating utilizes an ultra-low reflectivity coating process, resulting in optimal glare control. The lens exhibits excellent center sharpness at full aperture, with out-of-focus effects resembling those of ginkgo leaves.

Optical designer DJ-Optical is an independent optical design team that has been serving the optical industry in China for more than 20 years. DJ-Optical currently sells only to customers in China and is expected to launch its own website in December 2025.
