You can download the old 2005 version of Leica Lens Compendium by Erwin Puts for free at this link. This 223 page version does not contain any images and it’s available as a free download with the permission of the author. Erwin Puts released a new new version of this book in August 2011.
Erwin Puts will be releasing a third edition of his “Leica Compendium” book this November: “There is such a demand for my Leica Compendium book that a third printing is necessary. It will become available end November 2011 and is printed in very limited numbers.”
Thomas Leuthard (85mm.ch) just published a second free book about street photography called Collecting Souls… What Street Photography means to me. Both books can be downloaded here as a PDF document.
Update: the book is now available on LFI-online and Amazon. The new limited edition of the Leica Compendium book by Erwin Puts should be available tomorrow. The new edition will include new pages, additional images and rewritten paragraphs. The price will be 78 Euros. The previous version is already sold out.
