Leica D-Lux 8 firmware update version 1.7.0 released


Leica released a new firmware update version 1.7.0 for the D-Lux 8 camera. Here are the changes:

  • Fully compliant with Article 3.3 of the EU Radio Equipment Directive (2014/53/EU)
  • Improved WLAN security: When the camera is reset, a new randomly generated WLAN password is automatically assigned. The password displayed in the WiFi menu is replaced with ****
  • Bluetooth: Encrypted Bluetooth communication. As part of the security update, the device must be paired again.
  • Bugfixes in the firmware
