Black Leica M9-P camera listed as discontinued

After several gift card promotions, the black Leica M9-P is currently listed as discontinued at B&H. Adorama also no longer lists the camera on their website. The silver chrome M9-P is still available. There is currently one black M9-P available on Amazon by third party resellers.

It seemed to be a mistake because it’s listed as in stock right now.

If true, it would give the M9p the shortest lifespan of a Leica so far, since it became available only september 2011. Not a good thing for people who invested so much money. I hope with the M there will be more commitment from Leica. I also would like to see they replace the current ME for one with the new sensor, because buying the ME now does not seem like a wise decision at the moment. I do like its very basic design however over the gadget loaded M.

eh? the M-E is the M9P…’s the same camera….so it does not have a short lifespan, actually.
