So what is happening with the X line? The TL may be chic, but the TL lenses are not up to stratch in comparison to X-E, X 113 and X Vario lenses, and TL falls behind the simplicity and price of the X-line cameras.

    • I have not heard anything about the X line. My guess is that Leica wants to move X users to the new TL line.

To do that, combo price of the camera and one lens at least must match price of X-113 or X-Vario, and there must be a small, efficient f/2.8 lens.

      • I bought an X-U and enjoyed using it so much I got the Q. My satisfaction with the Q has been total, but the X electronics and software design are urgently in need of updating.

I wonder why you can buy an X-series for about $2,000 but you cannot buy a camera and interchangeable lens for less than $3,600 (TL2 + “kit” zoom). That’s a huge leap that I doubt most X users want to make.
