The Leica Q2 camera announcement is now confirmed for March 6th. Here is what we know so far about the upcoming Q2 camera:
- A significant increase in megapixels resolution (new 47.3 MP sensor, same sensors as in the Panasonic S1R camera)
- The increased resolution will enable additional “digital zoom” crop option at 75mm focal length (currently only 28mm, 35mm and 50mm are available in the current Leica Q model)
- No changes to form factor, focal length (28mm), or aperture (f/1.7)
- Dust-proof and drip-proof
- 4K video recording capabilities
- Organic EL EVF
