I have some news to report on the upcoming Zenit M-mount lenses – Zenitar 21mm f/2.8, Zenitar 35mm f/1 and Zenitar 50mm f/1:
- Zenit has a total of three new Zenitar lenses for Leica M-mount: 2.8/21, 1.0/35 and 1.0/50.
- The new Zenit M-mount lenses will be available for purchase separately in the second quarter next year (you can get the 35mm now as part of the Zenit kit)
- Zenit is expected to announce several new lenses in 2020.
- The Zenitar 35mm f/1.0 lens for Leica M-mount will be priced around $3,995 when sold separately next year – this is not confirmed, it’s just an estimation based on the information I have received. This makes the current price tag of $6,995 for the Zenit M body and Zenitar 35mm f/1.0 lens, not a bad deal.
- The Zenit-M cameras will be available individually also at a price of $3750 on sale for $3450 for orders that come in before the end of the year.
- The Zenit-M Black camera is limited to only 50 pieces and will be $3995 (it will still be cheaper to buy the kit for $6995).
- There will be a special discount available (probably around 20%-30% off) available in the 2nd quarter next year. if you purchase a Zenit-M kit camera individually or in a kit with the 35mm lens on either or both 50/1.0 and 21/2.8 M-mount lenses.
- Zenit-M kit purchasers will also get first priority on the Zenitar lenses when they are first available. They must have their commemorative card to get the discount and the discounts will be logged via that number (only one discount for each lens per camera):
