More Zenit – Leica collaboration rumors: new Zenitar 35mm f/1 lens for Leica M-mount

The Russian company Zenit has a new Zenitar 35mm f/1 lens for Leica M-mount listed in their catalog (pictured above). I already reported rumors about this lens last year. Here is what we know so far:

  • Weight 740 grams
  • Lens design: 9 lenses in 8 groups
  • Filter size: 72 mm

The information comes from the Russian forum www.penta-club.ru (via PhotoRumors). Rumors about a potential Leica-Zenit collaboration have been going around for a while:
